astrogirl - the houses

Houses are not planets. They show the area in which a planet in a sign operates.

A planet is in a sign and in a house, for instance
SUN IN GEMINI IN THE EIGHTH HOUSE

So the house shows where the planet in the sign is going to manifest itself. The eighth house is the house associated with resources and values that are under the control of oneself AND others (shared resources).

This is the concept of power through shared resources and the power struggles that can result with such sharing of power really. And if these power struggles can be resolved there is a great gain through sharing resources.

It is also the house of mysteries and investigation. No wonder that with such a position I am interested in Karma Astrology! It's also the house of Magic.

Each house also has karmic meanings, some more than others, but a personal analysis is required to find out more.
